Uttarakhand News: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami presented the road map for the development of the state in the NITI Aayog meeting held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also stressed on special policy support and long-term financial arrangements for the Himalayan states on issues related to climate change, ecological conservation and disaster management.

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the basis of the resolution of Developed India-2047 is our human capital. In line with this thinking, the Uttarakhand government is laying special emphasis on human resource development, quality education, skill development, innovation and youth empowerment. For this, the state government has made many reforms from elementary childhood education to higher education. He said that thousands of Anganwadi centers in the state have been connected with modern facilities, smart classes, virtual classrooms and skill-based education are being promoted in schools. Besides, efforts are being made to give new direction to research, innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education institutions also. So that the youth can be made employment creators instead of employment recipients.

Emphasis on giving skills to youth

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that there is immense potential for India in areas like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Cyber ​​Security, Data Science and Semiconductor Technology. For this purpose, initiatives like Devbhoomi Entrepreneurship Development Scheme, Startup Promotion Programme, Industry-Academic Collaboration and developing ITI institutes as centers of excellence have been implemented in the state. He said that the state government is moving forward with the mantra of “Developed Uttarakhand for Developed India”. For this, efforts are being made to develop it as a coordinated model of development by integrating agriculture, industry, tourism, energy and service sectors through more than 30 different new policies in the last years. The results of which are clearly visible in the state’s economy, investment, employment and per capita income.

Effort to make Uttarakhand a national model

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government is trying to develop sectors like natural farming, horticulture, medicinal plants, yoga and wellness, tourism and green energy as the growth engines of the future. Also, work is being done to develop Uttarakhand as a national model of knowledge based economy, wellness economy and sustainable development. He said that Devbhoomi Uttarakhand has the privilege of playing an important role in the conservation, promotion and transmission of the environmental and spiritual heritage of the country. The Himalayas, Ganga, Yamuna and vast forest areas are not only the heritage of Uttarakhand but also the invaluable asset of the entire nation. That is why there is an important need of the present time for the Himalayan states to consider special policy support and long-term financial arrangements on issues related to climate change, ecological conservation, disaster management, carbon neutrality, green energy and mountain infrastructure development.

Good governance and technological innovation

He said that Uttarakhand has also started many important initiatives in the field of good governance and technological innovation. Reforms related to Devbhoomi Parivar Pehchan Yojana, digital monitoring system in mining sector, online simplification of land use change process and women empowerment have made the governance system more transparent and effective. Similarly, Uttarakhand is also making significant progress in the field of renewable energy. Innovations like pyrrol based energy generation are playing an important role in environmental protection as well as local employment generation. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving towards further strengthening its place among the leading powers of the world by achieving the goals of Amritkal. Uttarakhand will also continue to contribute to this national campaign with its full commitment, energy and strength.

Kumbh and invitation from Nanda Rajjat

Congratulating Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on his record tenure of 12 years, the Chief Minister said that he has set a record of continuous service to the nation by receiving the mandate for the longest period in the democratic history of the country. On this occasion, he invited all the members of NITI Aayog including the Prime Minister to the Kumbh Mela and Nanda Rajjat ​​Yatra to be organized in Uttarakhand next year.
