Uttarakhand News: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Uttarakhand State Minority Education Authority in a program organized at the Chief Minister’s residence. On this occasion he also distributed recognition certificates to various minority educational institutions.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister distributed NCERT syllabus to the students of minority schools. He also presented books and said that this initiative towards quality and modern education will provide a strong foundation to the future of the students.

The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand, along with being the land of Gods, has also been a land with a rich tradition of knowledge, education and spirituality. This sacred land has given the message of knowledge and values ​​to the world for centuries. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of the state to establish Uttarakhand as an ideal model for the country in the field of education.

He said that with this objective, the state government has established Uttarakhand State Minority Education Authority from July 1, 2026 to provide quality, modern and culture-oriented education to all sections of the society. Along with this, the Madrasa Board has been abolished and a new system has been implemented.

The Chief Minister said that this is not just the beginning of an institution, but a decision that lays a strong foundation for the bright future of every child of the state. The aim of the government is that every child should get equal opportunities and can progress through modern education, technology and skills.

He said that the present time is the era of knowledge, innovation and technology. AI, machine learning, digital technology and new skills are shaping the future. In such a situation, it is necessary that no child of Uttarakhand is left behind in this journey of development.

The Chief Minister clarified that the Minority Education Authority has been established not to influence the identity or traditions of any community, but with the aim of providing better educational opportunities to all sections. The government’s effort is to ensure that children become proficient in science, mathematics, computers, skill development and modern education while remaining connected to their cultural roots.

He said that education is not just a medium to get employment, but is the most effective means of making the society strong, self-reliant and aware. With quality education, youth not only improve their lives but also contribute significantly to nation building.

The Chief Minister said that under the new system, equal opportunities will be provided to all notified minority communities. Those classes which did not get adequate representation in the earlier systems, will also now get equal opportunity in the field of education.

He said that the National Education Policy-2020, implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has given a new direction to the education system of the country. This policy is not limited to degrees only, but emphasizes on linking skills, innovation, research, entrepreneurship and employment.

The Chief Minister said that the Uttarakhand government is promoting digital education, smart classes, skill development, startups and modern training so that the youth of the state can be prepared for future challenges.

He said that Uttarakhand State Minority Education Authority will not only be a recognition body, but will also become a strong medium for quality education, teacher training, transparent system and effective implementation of the National Education Policy.

The Chief Minister said that the institutions which are being recognized today are not just getting certificates, but are also becoming participants in new thinking and new systems in the field of education. It is the responsibility of these institutions to prepare citizens who are knowledgeable, cultured, sensitive and dedicated to the nation.

He said that India’s greatest strength is its unity in diversity. Despite different languages, cultures and traditions, Indianness is the unifying force for all. The state government is working for the development of all sections in this spirit.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that in the coming years, this authority will bring positive changes in the lives of thousands of children and will make Uttarakhand a leading state in the field of quality and inclusive education.

He appealed to religious leaders, educationists, educational institutions and enlightened citizens of the society for cooperation in making this initiative successful.

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Pradeep Batra, MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, Special Secretary Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate, Chairman of Uttarakhand State Minority Education Authority Dr. Surjeet Singh and public representatives, religious leaders of various minority communities, educationists and managers of educational institutions were present.
