Ratlam Train Fire Case: There was chaos in Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday morning when a coach of Trivandrum-Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express suddenly caught fire. It is being told that this train was going from Trivandrum towards New Delhi. Then there was panic as soon as information about fire was received between Alot and Lunirichha stations. After which the fire was brought under control in time after the prompt action of the railway administration and fire department team. It is a matter of relief that there is no news of loss of life of any passenger in this accident.

Flames suddenly rose from B-1 coach

According to reports, at around 5.20 am on Sunday morning, Ratlam Control Room received information from Kota Control Room that B-1 coach of Train No. 12431 Trivandrum-Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express had caught fire. As soon as the information was received, there was panic among the railway officials and relief work was started immediately.

It is being told that the fire spread so fast that the B-1 coach was completely burnt to ashes. However, the biggest relief was that all the passengers present in the coach were taken out safely in time. According to the information, there were about 68 passengers in this coach.

Train stopped after guard’s information

While giving information in this regard, Senior DCM Saurabh Jain told the journalists that the train guard was the first to inform about the fire. After this, the train was immediately stopped by applying emergency brakes. Railway and fire department teams reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire and the situation was brought under control within some time.

At present, the real cause of the fire has not been known, but in the initial investigation, short circuit is suspected. Railways has ordered a high-level inquiry into the matter.

Officers left for the spot

According to the information, this incident took place between Lunirichha and Vikramgarh Alot stations of Kota division. As soon as information about the accident was received, DRM of Ratlam left for the spot. Along with this, accident relief train and ARME were also sent from Ratlam. Railways has also sent tower wagon towards the spot. At present, the Railway Administration is continuously monitoring the situation and the entire matter is being monitored.

Operation of some trains also affected

The incident of fire in Rajdhani Express also affected the operation of other trains. Due to the railway track being affected here, Mumbai Central-Jaipur Superfast Express had to be stopped at Mahidpur Road station. However, the railway administration says that traffic on the track will soon be normalized.

Special arrangements made for passengers

After the incident, the railway administration has also made special arrangements for the passengers traveling in B-1 coach. Breakfast has been provided to the passengers and preparations have been made to accommodate them in other coaches for the onward journey and take them to Kota.

According to railway officials, after reaching Kota, an additional coach will be added to the train, in which these passengers will be shifted so that their further journey can be completed safely and smoothly.
