Gopalganj (Bihar): The sixth season of Sadanira Mahotsav, which is called the first literature festival of the country, has been completed. The event was completed at a place called Karvatahi Bazaar in the remote countryside of Gopalganj district of Bihar. Such a grand event is rare in that resource poor area where hundreds of writers, journalists, artists and poets participated. This event, decorated with literary discussion, contemporary discussion, poet’s conference, flute playing, dance and music sessions, is an example in itself.
The first day of the program was dedicated to Kavi Sammelan. Poets like Dr. Buddhinath Mishra, Gyan Prakash Akul, Sanjay Mishra Sanjay, Naval Sudhanshu, Sarvesh Tripathi, Ankit Kavyansh, Vishal Pravesh, Lokesh Tripathi, Sangeet Subhash, Akriti Vigya Arpan, Amarjeet Yadav Amar, Ajay Yadav etc. recited poetry.
Sadanira Shikshak Samman 2025 given to nine teachers
The tradition of honoring teachers started this time in the Sadanira Mahotsav. This time nine teachers of the state were honored for their excellent work. These teachers were – Omprakash Ram, Lokesh Rai, Sunil Sharma, Manish Kumar Pandey, Yugal Kishore Pandey, Amritesh Ashutosh, Lokesh Kumar and Rajesh Kumar Mishra. These nine teachers were awarded Sadanira Shikshak Samman 2025 for their excellent teaching work.
The second day’s program was inaugurated by Ganga Mahasabha President Swami Jitendranand Saraswati, Delhi University Professor Dr Praveen Tiwari, and senior journalist and litterateur Anant Vijay by lighting the lamp. After that, young flute player Prashant Saurabh formally started the program with flute playing. Speaking on the subject of half-truths of the Left in the inaugural session itself, Anant Vijay exposed the deceitfulness of the so-called litterateurs on many contemporary issues. Dr. Praveen Tiwari expressed his views on the issue of migration from Bihar. Writers like Avneesh Sharma, Lokesh Kaushik, Ashutosh Mrinal, Rivesh Pratap Singh and Sarvesh Tiwari Shrimukh etc. participated in the discussion.
Sadanira Sahitya Samman 2025
Sadaneera awards were given on the second day of the festival. It is the tradition of Sadanira Mahotsav that honors are given by a saint only, so this time all the selected persons were honored by Swami Jitendranand Saraswati, National General Secretary of All India Saint Committee. “Sadanira Sahitya Samman 2025” was awarded to Dr. Pawan Vijay, Professor of Indraprastha University, Delhi and author of popular books like February Notes, Jogi Veer and Mask Manifesto.
This award has previously been given to Anant Vijay, Naveen Chaudhary and Ashish Tripathi. This year’s “Pandit Sharmanand Dehati Lok Samman” was given to famous film actor Kunal Singh. Before this, this honor has been received by famous folk singer Bharat Sharma Vyas and famous Bhojpuri critic Braj Bhushan Mishra. Kunal Singh has been the hero of superhit Bhojpuri films like Ganga Kinare Mora Gaon, Dharti Maiya, Dulha Ganga Paar Ke, Ghar Angana, Bairi Kangana.
“Yogendra Yogi Kavya Samman 2025” for poetry was given to the country’s renowned poet and litterateur Dr. Buddhinath Mishra, the author of books like Jaal Phenke Re Machhere, Rituraj Ek Pal Ka, Shikharini, Jaade Mein Pahad, etc. This honor has previously been given to Devendra Dev and Gyan Prakash Akul. “Rajni Rai Smriti Samman 2025”, given for the first book of a writer from the platform of Sadanira, was given this time to the famous poet Swayam Srivastava for his book “Ghar Ke Vaaste”. Srivastava himself is one of the most popular poets of the new generation, whose book has been highly appreciated.
All India Kavi Sammelan
On the evening of 24th also, All India Kavi Sammelan was organized in which international comic poet Dr. Anil Choubey, Priyanka Rai Omanandini, Swayam Srivastava, Rajneesh Rai, Aman Pandey etc. recited poetry.
The evening was spent in the name of folk music…
There was a lot of singing in the last session of the festival in which Mithali Shri, Karishma Kumari, Bhojpuri Samrat Vijay Bahadur Choubey and famous folk singer Gopal Rai performed. The audience kept dancing in the music session which lasted for about two hours. He entertained the audience for hours by singing dozens of songs like A Raja Kahio Mahur Kha Ke Mar Jaib, Chalelu Dagariya Ta Nadi Biche Naiya Hilor Mare, Kahe Kiriya Dharavel Tu Aan Ke Tare, Dhaniya Sona Ka Pahinbu.
