PLFI Commander Encounter: Police got a big success in Khunti district of Jharkhand on Sunday. The organization’s top commander Shravan Das was injured in an encounter between the police and the banned militant organization PLFI in Tilmi Forest of Jariagarh Police Station area. During the encounter he was shot in the leg, after which the police arrested him.

After the incident, injured Shravan Das has been admitted to RIMS located in Ranchi for better treatment. This action of the police is being considered a major achievement against extremism in the area.

Campaign conducted on the basis of secret information

According to the information, the police had received secret information that PLFI militants had gathered in Tilmi forest to carry out some big conspiracy. As soon as the information was received, Jariagarh and Karra police stations jointly started the raid operation.

As soon as the police team reached inside the forest, the militants present there started firing indiscriminately at them. After the sudden firing, the police also retaliated in self-defense. Meanwhile, the bullet fired hit Shravan Das in his leg and he got injured. The police arrested him from the spot.

Many members of Shravan Das’s squad also arrested

During the police action, not only Shravan Das was successful in arresting but also many other members of his squad. The arrested militants include Samu Dhodharay, Sudarshan Soy, Salim Bodra, Harshit Gudiya, Umar Khan, alias Neel Khan and Vishnu Manjhi. The police is interrogating all of them and trying to gather important information related to the activities of the organization.

A cache of weapons and cartridges recovered

Confirming the incident, Superintendent of Police Rishabh Garg said that a large quantity of arms and ammunition has been recovered from the arrested militants. Police have recovered four pistols, several country made pistols and more than a dozen live cartridges.

Apart from this, many objectionable documents have also been found from the spot. According to the police, the recovered material is expected to provide important clues related to the activities and plans of the organization.

Many secrets can be revealed from diary

Police have also recovered an important diary from the spot. Mobile numbers of many contractors of the area are recorded in this diary. Along with this, many information related to possible incidents and activities of the organization is also written.

Police believe that the information recorded in the diary can reveal the network of militants, extortion and other criminal activities. The recovered documents are being examined in detail.

Many serious cases are registered against Shravan Das

The Superintendent of Police said that Shravan Das was included in the wanted list of the police for a long time. He had become synonymous with terror in Torpa and Karra areas. Many serious cases like firing, arson and extortion at a railway construction site are registered against him.

According to the police, PCA was also imposed on him and he was being searched for a long time. His arrest is being considered a major blow to the militant network operating in the area.

Search operation continues in the forest

Even after the encounter and arrest, the police has not stopped the operation. Search operations are being conducted continuously in the forest area by the security forces. Police suspect that some other members associated with this gang may still be hiding in the forest.

At present, the police is investigating the entire matter and is trying to reach other members of the organization on the basis of interrogating the arrested militants.
