Twisha Sharma Case: The case of Dwisha Sharma, who was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, is gaining momentum. On May 12, Dwisha Sharma’s dead body was found hanging in her in-laws’ house. After the death, the body is kept in the mortuary of AIIMS Bhopal since May 13. The police have written a letter to the family members and appealed to take the body from the mortuary as soon as possible. According to the police, due to the body being kept in the mortuary for a long time, the possibility of it getting spoiled is increasing, hence the relatives should take the body away.

However, Dwisha Sharma’s family is still adamant on conducting the post-mortem again. Family members allege that Dwisha was being mentally tortured by her in-laws ever since she got married. Along with this, they were also demanding dowry. Dwisha Sharma’s family members say that answers to many questions related to her death have still not been found. Performing the last rites without an impartial investigation is a very difficult decision.

Family members raised questions on post mortem report

Dwisha Sharma’s parents have raised many serious questions on the post mortem report. Family members say that in the report, injury marks have been found at many places on Dwisha Sharma’s body. Due to which it becomes very difficult to believe the theory of suicide. The family members allege that many important aspects of the case have not been investigated in depth. For this reason, they are demanding that the case be monitored by the Supreme Court or an independent investigating agency.

The post-mortem report of the Forensic Medicine Department of AIIMS Bhopal has further complicated the matter. According to the report, double rope marks were found on Dwisha’s neck. Apart from this, scratches on the body, injury marks on hands and wrists and injuries on the inner part of the head have also been recorded. The medical board has described these injuries as blunt force injuries caused before death. The report also revealed that no evidence of drug consumption was found, raising questions on the claims of the in-laws that Dwisha was a drug addict.

No evidence related to drug addiction in investigation

Police have clarified that no evidence related to drugs has emerged in the investigation. At present the Special Investigation Team is investigating the case. Blood, viscera, hair and nail samples have been sent for forensic examination. Whose report will come soon. After which many facts can be revealed. Dwisha Sharma’s family is now knocking on the doors of constitutional institutions for justice. The family has demanded intervention from the President in the matter. At the same time, Jabalpur lawyer Vivek Tiwari has written a letter to the Chief Justice of India and the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court, demanding an independent investigation under judicial supervision. Now the eyes of the country are fixed on the entire matter.
