Uttarakhand 25th foundation day: A special session of the Assembly was called on Monday on the occasion of the silver jubilee of Uttarakhand State Foundation Day. President Draupadi Murmu addressed the Uttarakhand Assembly and said that in this journey of 25 years, the state has achieved impressive development goals. The state made commendable progress in many areas including environment, tourism and education.

President Draupadi Murmu said in his address, ‘I am happy to know that literacy has increased in the state. Women’s education has expanded. Maternal and child mortality rates have also decreased compared to before. Efforts are also being made by the state government to make health services accessible.”

Praising the state government’s work towards women empowerment, President Murmu said, “The efforts of women empowerment will carry forward the glorious tradition of extraordinary women like Sushila Baluni, Bachendri Pal, Gaura Devi, Radha Bhatt and Vandana Kataria. The Assembly has added pride to itself by electing Ritu Khanduri Bhushan as the first woman Assembly Speaker of the state. I would like that with the efforts of all the stakeholders, the number of women in the Uttarakhand Assembly will increase. There will be an increase.”

Before the President’s address, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said in the House that on November 9, Uttarakhand is going to complete 25 years of its statehood. This historic occasion is not only a moment of pride but also an emotional one for the people of Uttarakhand, as this state is a symbol of the indomitable courage and struggle of our innumerable mothers and sisters, youth and public leaders.

He said, “We had to go through a period of struggle for a separate nation. In this struggle, innumerable citizens of the state fought for justice, honor and self-respect for years. I respectfully bow to all the known and unknown state agitators, on the strength of whose sacrifices and sacrifices, this state is completing a glorious journey of 25 years.”

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that it is the ultimate duty of all of us to protect the values, ideals and aspirations for which this state came into existence and to realize those aspirations.
