Uttarakhand News: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday flagged off 4 state-of-the-art ambulances provided for public benefit under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of HDFC Bank from the Chief Minister Camp Office. This initiative is an important step towards strengthening health services in remote and hilly areas of the state.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working to provide better health facilities to the person standing at the last mile. The cooperation being done by private organizations in public interest is an excellent example of social responsibility. The Chief Minister said that timely availability of health services in the hilly and remote areas of Uttarakhand is very important. These ambulances, provided by HDFC Bank through CSR, will play an important role in providing prompt medical assistance to those in need. The state government is committed to further strengthening health services through public participation and institutional support.

Praising this public welfare initiative of HDFC Bank, the Chief Minister said that such services will prove to be very useful during big religious events, disaster situations and in remote areas. The Chief Minister has also expected HDFC Bank to provide more ambulances through CSR for other hilly districts of the state and for the upcoming Haridwar Kumbh.

Bank officials informed that these ambulances are equipped with modern medical facilities and necessary emergency equipment, so that timely treatment can be provided to the needy patients. Besides, the bank will also ensure the provision of doctor, nurse, attendant and driver in each ambulance for the next three years.

In the initial phase, these ambulances will provide health services in Chamoli, Champawat, Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag districts and in future they will also be used in major religious events and disaster management works of the state.

On this occasion, MLA Shri Rajkumar Pori, Shri Vinod Kandari, Additional Secretary Shri Manmohan Mainali, HDFC Bank’s Shri Muskan Singh (Branch Banking Head- North 3), Shri Sanjeev Kaushik (regional head- North 3), Zonal Head Uttarakhand Shri Bakul Sikka, State Head Uttarakhand Shri Gaurav Jain and Shri Ayush Singhal were present.
