CM Dhami News: On the occasion of the silver jubilee celebrations of the establishment of Uttarakhand state, Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd) and Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the program organized at Police Lines, Dehradun on Friday. The Governor inspected the religious parade organized on this occasion and took the salute. On the occasion of completion of 150 years of the national song “Vande Mataram”, the program started with the song Vande Mataram. On this occasion, “Uttarakhand Police Magazine-2025” was released by the Governor and Chief Minister and the symbolic insignia of the Silver Jubilee Medal was unveiled. The Governor paid tribute to all the immortal martyrs, agitators and public heroes, through whose sacrifice and struggle this State came into existence.

The Governor said that just as the mantra of Swadeshi strengthened the country’s independence, similarly the prosperity of the country will also be strengthened by the mantra of Swadeshi. He called upon us to engrave only those things which are Made in India, which involve the labor and hard work of our youth, this is the biggest mantra of self-reliant India and self-reliant Uttarakhand.

The Governor called upon the youth of the state to become leaders in the field of technology, innovation and startup and contribute to the development of the country and the state. This is the path that will realize the resolution of Developed Uttarakhand, Developed India 2047. He expressed confidence that in the coming years, Uttarakhand will become the best state in the country – where development and nature, science and culture, modernity and tradition, technology and humanity will move forward together.

In the program, the Governor praised the grand parade and said that Uttarakhand Police has established its unique identity in the entire country as a strong and modern police force with its efficiency, discipline and visionary approach. He said that towards the goal of drug-free Uttarakhand, police is taking continuous and effective action against the criminals. Specially trained cyber commandos have been created to deal with cyber crimes, thereby developing new capabilities in the field of digital security. Emphasizing on community policing, he said that the police has strengthened the bridge of trust, cooperation and participation with the public, which is praiseworthy.

The Governor said that the journey of the last 25 years is the story of continuous hard work and progress of Uttarakhand. Since the establishment of the state, significant progress has been made in the fields of education, health, tourism, agriculture, industry, science, technology and environmental protection. He said that today Uttarakhand is moving beyond Char Dham Yatra and emerging as a global wellness destination, wedding destination, shooting destination, yoga and Ayurveda destination. Hundreds of youth are returning to their villages and writing a new chapter of self-reliance and self-reliance.

The Governor said that the role of mother power has been like the backbone in the Uttarakhand state movement. The contribution of women in water, forest, mountain and environment conservation has been remarkable. Even today, the same mother power is the strong axis of the development of the state. From self-help groups to innovation-based startups, women are writing new stories of self-reliance. The daughters of Uttarakhand are performing excellently in the fields of education, sports, defense and science, which is commendable.

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami paid respectful tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect the country and the immortal martyrs of the state movement during the ceremonial parade as part of the silver jubilee celebrations of the establishment of the state. He met former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Late. Remembering Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he said that during his Prime Ministership, the dream of establishing Uttarakhand came true and he also did the work of strengthening the foundation of the state through a special industrial package. He also expressed his gratitude to all those who have contributed to the development of the state in this glorious journey of the last 25 years.

The Chief Minister said that in the journey of 25 years of state building, the state has faced many challenges and problems and today has created a unique identity for itself as a leading and strong state of the country. From time to time the state has also had to face many natural disasters and difficult situations. He said that maintaining law and order in the state in specific geographical conditions has been a big challenge in itself. Amidst these difficulties, Uttarakhand Police has set a unique example of public service by standing firm on every front like a sentinel and silent seeker of the soul of the state. Uttarakhand Police has done commendable work in solving crimes against women. Uttarakhand has also been ranked fifth in the country in the disposal of cases of crimes against women and POCSO Act issued by the Home Ministry. He said that to effectively check cyber crimes, along with strengthening the technical capacity, the resolution of ‘Drug Free Uttarakhand’ will have to be transformed into a mass movement.

The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government has achieved remarkable achievements in the last four and a half years. The state has secured first position in the country in increasing the income of farmers. The state’s compound annual growth rate has been 12.69 percent, which is four times higher than the national average. The state has emerged as the leading state in the country in providing employment opportunities to the youth. Four villages of Uttarakhand, Jakhol, Harshil, Gunji and Soupi, have received the best tourism village award across the country. Uttarakhand has also been honored with the Most Film Friendly State award at the National Film Awards. The government is fully committed to the overall development of the state as well as preserving its cultural values ​​and demography. On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Naresh Bansal, MLA Shri Premchand Aggarwal, Shri Khajan Das, Shri Durgeshwar Lal, Mayor Dehradun Shri Saurabh Thapliyal, Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan, DGP Shri Deepam Seth along with senior officials of government, police and district administration and other dignitaries were present.
