Bihar Elections: After filing nominations in Bihar, now the phase of election rallies has started. The incident of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar garlanding NDA candidate Rama Nishad during a rally in Muzaffarpur instead of garlanding him is being discussed a lot in the political circles. While sharing the video of this incident, Tejashwi Yadav said that it has once again raised questions on Nitish’s health. The female candidate who was garlanded by Nitish belongs to an influential political family and had joined BJP just a few days ago.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav posted a video on the handle However, Purnia MP Pappu Yadav said on this incident, “Don’t we garland our daughters?” Don’t we garland the goddesses? Why is this being made an issue? If Nitish Kumar is doing this, then what is the problem in it? Sanjay Jha has gone mad.”
MLA’s ticket canceled
Bharatiya Janata Party had given ticket to Rama Nishad in its first list of candidates for Bihar elections. BJP canceled the ticket of sitting MLA Ramsurat Rai from Aurai assembly seat of Muzaffarpur and gave a chance to Rama Nishad to contest. In place of Ramsurat Rai, who belongs to the Yadav community, Rama Nishad, wife of former MP Ajay Nishad, was made the NDA candidate from Aurai seat.
However, before the ticket was canceled, Minister Ramsurat Rai became angry with the party. Expressing his disappointment on social media, he said, “In the last election (2020), I had won Aurai seat by a margin of 48 thousand votes over the Grand Alliance candidate and this was also the biggest victory in terms of margin of votes.” He claimed that he did a lot of work for his area for the entire 5 years. Ramsurat has been a two-time MLA. He won from here for the first time in 2010 elections, he lost in 2015, but in 2020 he was again elected as MLA. But his request did not work and Rama Nishad from Aurai region is contesting on behalf of NDA.
Father-in-law Jai Narayan has been a powerful MP for 4 times.
Rama Nishad’s father-in-law Captain Jai Narayan Prasad Nishad has also been a big face of Bihar politics. He remained MP from Muzaffarpur constituency for a long time. He was also a minister. Jai Narayan Prasad Nishad was elected MP 4 times, first from Janata Dal, then from Rashtriya Janata Dal and Janata Dal United tickets.
After his death, son Ajay Nishad took up this legacy and was elected MP twice (2014 and 2019) on BJP ticket. But last year, after not getting the ticket, Ajay left the party, but now he has returned to BJP. The party has also expressed confidence in his wife Rama Nishad by giving her ticket from Aurai seat.
