Some activists of Raj Thackeray’s party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) attacked the Delhi Capitals team bus which arrived to participate in IPL 2022. The attack took place in Mumbai and an FIR was registered against 5-6 people in Colaba Police Station regarding this matter. According to reports, the workers of the transport wing of MNS created a ruckus when the local person did not get the contract for the pick and drop of the team.
Let us tell you that the issue of ‘Marathi Manas Pehle’ is being run continuously by Raj Thackeray’s MNS since 2006. Meanwhile, when someone else got the contract to bring and drop the players of Delhi Capitals, they ransacked the bus by attacking them. Mumbai Police registered a case against about 5-6 people under sections 143,147,149,427 of IPC.
News agency ANI gave information about this matter on its Twitter page along with pictures of some incident. In these pictures, posters of MNS are also seen on the bus which was attacked. According to the ABP report, Prashant Gandhi, Santosh Jadhav and one other person have been taken into custody by Colaba Police. So far, no information has been received about any injury in this incident.
According to the news, this attack was carried out by Maharashtra Vahatuk Sena, which is the transport wing of MNS. The reason for this attack was not giving the contract to the local person. The workers of this wing were agitated over the non-availability of contracts to pick up and drop players of IPL teams. Further information on this whole matter is awaited.
Significantly, IPL 2022 will start from March 26 in Mumbai. 55 out of 70 matches of this season will be played in Mumbai itself. 20-20 matches will be played at Wankhede and DY Patil Stadium and 15 matches will be played at Brabourne. Apart from this, 15 matches will be held at the MCA Stadium in Pune. Each team will play 4-4 matches at Wankhede and DY Patil and 3-3 matches at Brabourne and MCA Stadium in Pune.
