The Indian trio of Rahi Sarnobat, Isha Singh and Rhythm Sangwan won the gold medal in the women’s 25m pistol team event at the ISSF World Cup in Cairo on Sunday. The Indian team clinched a thrilling 17-13 win over Singapore to give the country its third gold medal of the tournament.
The Indian trio on Saturday qualified for the title round by finishing on top in the second qualification stage. This was Isha’s second gold and third medal at the World Cup. She also won a gold medal in the women’s 10m air pistol team event and a silver medal in the women’s 10m air pistol individual event.

Earlier in the day, Indian shooters Sriyanka Sadangi and Akhil Sharon won bronze in the 50m rifle three positions mixed team event. The Indian pair was fifth out of 34 teams. After this she finished third in eight pairs. She defeated Gernot Rumpler and Rebecca Koeck of Austria. India is second in the medal tally.
Saurabh Chaudhary and Women’s 10m Air Pistol team won the gold medal while Aisha Singh won the silver medal in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol team. In men’s 25m rapid fire pistol, Bhavesh Shekhawat finished 12th and Anish Bhanwala 18th. Gurpreet Singh finished 32nd.
