Asia cup india vs Pakistan: Operation vermilion may have ended months ago, but its effect is clearly visible on the minds of Indian people. Before the Asia Cup match between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on 14 September, the demands of boycott have increased very much. At the same time, the impact of mutual differences of both countries is now clear on the field of cricket. For many people, supporting the India-Pakistan match is now now the Pahalgam massacre, in which 26 lives were lost, and is like insulting the four days of war. The world’s largest cricket rivalry, usually known for record -breaking audience and drama, is united against this match this time.
The soldiers of the country raised a strict voice
A few weeks after Operation Sindoor, the announcement of the India-Pakistan match in July caused resentment from every way. There is just one day left to start the match, so hashtags like #Boycottindvspak are spreading very fast on social media. From actors to cricket giants, journalists and even former Cricketers of Team India have expressed this feeling. In addition, military voices have worked at the forefront of leading this feeling. Shaurya Chakra winner Major Pawan Kumar (retired) has requested media institutions not to cover this high-profile match. He wrote on X, “No braking news, no score update we know that you cannot boycott it, but you can quietly avoid it. Hopefully you will respect the feelings of all 140 crore Indians.”
Politicians protested strongly
Even when the match was confirmed for the first time, politicians also opposed the event. In July, when the match was announced, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi in Parliament also said- “My conscience does not allow me to watch this match. How can we play cricket with Pakistan, while we have stopped trade after their role in terrorist attacks, stopped water and banned flights? Is?”
Cricketers their separate suggestions
But not everyone agrees that boycott of cricket is the right answer. Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly said in July- “There should be no terrorism, but the game should be kept going.” In August, former cricketer Kedar Jadhav also urged the Indian team to withdraw from the Asia Cup matches against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates itself.
