Amidst the ongoing crisis in Maharashtra, the discussion of floor test is now in full swing. In a TV debate on this, political analyst Sanjay Jha said that Uddhav Thackeray’s party has demanded to disqualify 16 MLAs of Eknath Shinde. How can you do a floor test until it happens or a decision is taken on it. If they are disqualified, then two-thirds will not.
He said, “If we look at the procedure of the Constitution, whether it is the Deputy Speaker or those who are accused of violating the whip of their own party, then there is no legal right that they are Shiv Sena. Even on this, the Supreme Court will have to give a decision, only then can a floor test be held.
To this, panelist Amitabh Sinha, who was present in the debate, said, “The matter of eligibility will be valid if the question mark placed on the chair of the person who sent it is correct, while the majority has decided that you cannot become deputy speaker, then This means the majority will come to the floor and say that the deputy speaker is not proper to hold the house.”
Let us inform that the Deputy Speaker of Maharashtra had decided to issue disqualification notices to some MLAs of Shinde Camp, which has been stayed by the Supreme Court and issued a notice to the Deputy Speaker asking him to reply within two weeks.
Advocate Satish Manshinde, who was present in the debate regarding the floor test, said, “What is going on in Maharashtra is very sad. If the rebel MLAs do not accept the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray, then they should resign. One should not commit hoarders by roaming around in such a country. Don’t know which victory the rebel MLAs are celebrating in Gujarat and Assam. First of all, by coming here in Maharashtra, they will have to face in public. If you have to show power in the legislator, you can show yourself, but after going to the Supreme Court, you can take action, then you can take it only after July 11.
