Adani Energy Solutions partners with RSWM to supply 60 MW of renewable energy

Ahmedabad, 5 November (IANS). While giving information on Wednesday, RSWM, one of India’s leading textile manufacturers, said that the company has partnered with Adani Energy Solution Limited (AESL) to get 60 MW renewable energy supply.

Under this agreement, AESL will manage the entire green power value chain for the additional power needs of RSWM, the flagship company of LNJ Bhilwara Group.

RSWM, in collaboration with Renewable Green Generation Company, has invested Rs 60 crore under the Group Captive Scheme, with which 31.53 crore units of green power can be supplied every year to the company’s manufacturing units located in Rajasthan.

With this addition, the contribution of renewable energy to RSWM’s total energy needs will increase from 33 per cent at present to 70 per cent in the future, accounting for two-thirds of its total energy mix.

Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman, Managing Director and CEO, RSWM, said, “This success reflects our long-term vision of growth with sustainability and also reinforces our identity as a visionary industrial leader.”

He further added, “With 70 per cent of our energy needs coming from renewable sources, India’s clean energy mix is ​​higher than the national average of 31 per cent, with RSWM continuing to set the industry benchmark in responsible energy transition.”

AESL is the country’s largest private transmission company with a presence in 16 states of the country with a large transmission network of 26,705 CKM and 97,236 MVA transformation capacity.
