Ahmedabad, May 1 (IANS). Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said on Friday that Adani Group will adopt a 3-layer organization model to speed up decision-making and boost execution across all its businesses.
Addressing employees on the occasion of International Labor Day, Gautam Adani announced major changes in the organization, aimed at simplifying the company structure, strengthening partnerships and enhancing the potential of employees. He also linked it to the larger goal of India’s development.
The Adani Group chairman said, “This three-layer model has been designed in such a way that unnecessary delays are eliminated and responsibilities are clear.”
He said, “We want that the decisions which currently take three days, should now be taken in just three hours.” He told that as companies grow bigger, it takes more time to take decisions, hence this change is necessary.
According to him, reducing the layers in the organization will increase the speed of work, fix responsibilities and overall work will be better.
Gautam Adani said that due to multiple levels of approval in big companies, there is delay in taking decisions, which will now be eliminated by this new model.
Along with this, he also introduced a new ‘Partnership Model’, which will make it easier to work with contractors and suppliers.
“Many project sites have more than 100 contractors working simultaneously, making coordination difficult and time-consuming,” he said.
In the new model, work will be done with fewer but trusted partners, who will take responsibility for the entire project. This will get the work done faster and delays will be reduced.
“This new approach will help in faster completion of projects and reduce delays,” he said.
Apart from this, the Chairman of Adani Group also said that the company will add new assets worth Rs 2 lakh crore this year as part of its business expansion.
He said that Adani Group will try to contribute towards making India a developed nation by 2047, as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
