Bhuj, May 29 (IANS). With an aim to transform 11 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) of Kutch through industry-linked skill development and employment-focused training, Adani Skills and Education (ASE) on Friday formalized two MoUs with the Government of Gujarat.

ASE said the initiative aims to create local employment opportunities, reduce brain drain and build an industry-ready talent pipeline for the renewable energy, logistics and infrastructure sectors.

ASE is Adani Group’s capacity-building platform focused on creating a scalable talent ecosystem in line with industry and enterprise demands.

Minister for Labour, Skill Development and Employment and Rural Development Kunwarjibhai Bavaliya, Minister of State for Labour, Skill Development and Employment Kantilal Amrutiya, senior leaders and officials, senior leadership of Adani Group, faculty members and students of all the 11 government ITIs of Kutch were present in the event.

Bavaliya stressed the importance of industry-friendly skill development in building a self-reliant workforce. He said, “Our main objective is to provide global level technical training to the youth and make every youth self-reliant under the Skill India Mission. Skilled youth are the foundation of a prosperous nation.”

Amrutia encouraged students to take advantage of technical education opportunities to pursue meaningful careers. “Skilled youth are the real strength of our nation and can contribute significantly to India’s economic growth, national progress and nation building,” he said.

The objective of this initiative is to reduce the brain drain and strengthen the skilled workforce of the region, so that the contribution of local talent to the growth of Kutch continues to increase.

The 10-point agenda envisioned by ASE for the transformation of ASEAN Institutes of Technology (ITIs) is now being popularized as the “Gujarat Model” in other states of the country.

ASEAN Institute of Technology (ASE) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Robin Bhowmick said Kutch remains central to ASE’s long-term skills development vision.

He said, “Kutch is our workplace and we are fully committed to its future. Through our partnership with the Government of Gujarat and ITIs of the region, we aim to create a skilled and industry-ready workforce that is capable of contributing across sectors and supporting long-term regional transformation.”

Through its ‘Skill2Employ’ approach, ASE combines classroom learning with real-world operational experience. Leveraging simulations, Centers of Excellence (CoE), TTT programs and globally standardized curriculum, it aims to create a productive workforce from day one.
