During the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Elon Musk spoke openly about the future of AI. Also on stage with him was renowned investor Larry Fink. During the conversation, Musk said that the speed with which AI, robotics and other advanced technologies are developing can completely change human civilization, economy and everyday life. According to him, “I don’t know what the world will look like in 10 years, but the speed at which AI is progressing, it seems that by the end of 2026 it could be smarter than any human.”

He further said that if the current pace continues, by 2030 or 2031, AI could surpass not only the intelligence of a single human being, but also the collective intelligence of all of humanity. This means that there may come a time when machines, working together, will be more capable of thinking, understanding and making decisions than humans. Real change will come from the combination of AI and robotics
Musk believes that not just AI software, but the combination of AI and robotics will bring the biggest change in the world. When Artificial Intelligence moves from screens to physical machines, i.e. robots, its impact will be much more profound. He said humanoid robots equipped with advanced AI could usher in a new economic era that would be comparable to, or perhaps even surpass, previous industrial revolutions.

According to Elon Musk, this future is not just an imagination, but preparations for it have already started. He told that many companies including Tesla are working on making humanoid robots available to the common people. If everything goes as per plan, such robots may be available for sale in the market by next year. These robots will be able to perform a variety of tasks, from factory work to daily household tasks.

Another claim of Musk is even more shocking. He says that in the future, the production of robots and AI will increase so rapidly that they will completely meet the needs of humans.
