AI will change the future of healthcare, education and research: Sunil Mittal

New Delhi, February 19 (IANS). Bharti Group Chairman Sunil Mittal said on Thursday that sectors like healthcare, education, deep research and medical sciences are set to move forward rapidly with the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Speaking at the ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ held in the national capital, Mittal said that AI is no longer just a technological trend, but has become the mainstay of transformation in industries.

He said that AI is changing the way companies work and provide services. He said sectors like healthcare and education in particular would benefit greatly from AI as it would improve efficiency, innovation and access to services.

He said that AI has already become an important part of operations for Bharti Group. The company is using AI to provide better services to customers, build stronger networks and manage them more effectively. With the help of AI, service quality is improving and internal processes are also becoming faster and smarter.

Mittal stressed that the impact of AI will not be limited to just one or two sectors. From medical research to advanced scientific research, AI will play an important role in shaping the future. As companies adopt this technology, new growth and innovation opportunities will open up.

According to the official statement released earlier, more than 300 selected exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations are being organized at the Expo, which have been organized under three major themes of ‘People, Planet and Progress’.

Apart from this, more than 600 promising startups are also participating, many of which are developing globally useful solutions. These startups are presenting their solutions that have already been implemented in the real world.

More than 500 sessions will be organized during the summit, with participation from more than 3,250 expert speakers and panelists.

These sessions will discuss the impact of AI in various sectors and consider how to extend the benefits of AI to every citizen of the world.
