Instagram Reels has become a major source of entertainment. What if you could watch any creator’s reels in your own language? Meta has expanded the AI-powered reels translation feature. Now it supports Hindi and Portuguese languages. Previously, it supported only English and Spanish languages.
With this update, Reels will be available to a wider audience. Creators will be able to adapt their content to a global audience. This feature will be available on both Instagram and Facebook. This will allow creators to share their content in multiple languages. This will also become a source of income for the creators.
With creators having access to a global marketplace, they’ll be able to earn more from promotional content with brands. However, its impact will be known only in the coming days. Many creators want to reach an international audience. Meta has introduced this new tool for such creators.

Creators will be able to translate reels with new Meta AI tools. Viewers will also have this option, so that they will be able to watch and understand the reel in their own language. Currently, this feature works in English, Hindi, Spanish and Portuguese.
How will this translation work?
Meta AI will translate a reel and reproduce the creator’s voice, voice and tone. This will make the output look authentic and natural. Creators can also enable an optional lip-sync feature, which will make videos look more original. Such reels will be labeled ‘Translated with Meta AI’.
full control
Meta has released controls for both creators and viewers to manage their translations. Creators can enable or disable translation, lip-sync, or review of the translated version before publishing a Reel. Viewers, on the other hand, can turn translations on or off, or watch the reel in its original language. All these options are available in the Audio & Language section. To do this, you need to click on the three lines and go to Settings. Meta AI’s translation feature is free and available in all regions where Meta AI is available. This feature will be available to creators with more than 1,000 followers. Initially, this feature was only available in English and Spanish. The company launched it last year.
