The company announced that iOS 27 will support iPhone 11 and later models, while devices launched before iPhone 11 will not get support. The company has said that after the new software update, apps will open 30 percent faster than before. Additionally, newly taken photos will appear up to 70 percent faster in the Photos app, while AirDrop transfer speeds can increase up to 80 percent.
**Benefits of Smart Switching**
Updating the handset to iOS 27 will enable smart switching between Wi-Fi and cellular networks. The company has also included a better search framework and a more responsive CPU scheduler. It has been confirmed that older iPhone models will also benefit from these improvements.
iOS 27 also includes several other new features, such as the ability for Android and Windows users to contribute to iCloud shared albums. The Health app has added menopause and perimenopause tracking and now also includes custom EQ settings for AirPods.
