New Delhi, May 1 (IANS). Former Indian Air Force pilot and astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla shared an exciting experience related to a common elevator of the American space agency NASA. In a post on social media, he told that as soon as he entered a common elevator of NASA, he realized that he was not entering any other floor but was entering the Earth’s orbit.
He has shared this unique exciting experience on social media platform X. Shubhanshu Shukla told that when he stepped into that NASA lift for the first time, he felt as if he was going into space. The interior of the lift is so high-tech and space station-like that the difference between simulation and reality almost disappears. He told that every time he traveled in the lift, he felt a quiet but deep thrill.
He told in the post, “This is one of the elevators of NASA. As soon as we enter it, it seems that we are not going up a few floors but are reaching directly into orbit. Its interior is an exact copy of the space station.”
Shubhanshu Shukla has also posted a video, which shows the interior view of the lift. This experience reminded him of his childhood dreams and early inspiration. He wrote that even small things keep us motivated on the path of big dreams. In his post, Shukla also gave a deep message. He said that when pursuing extraordinary goals, it is often the little things that keep our spirits alive. We should never forget the child within us, who finds happiness even in small things. Happiness is found not only at the destination but also during the entire journey.
In June last year, Subhanshu Shukla became the second Indian to go to space under the Axiom-4 mission of the ISS. He returned to Earth on 16 July. This mission marked the return of the human space program for India as well as Hungary and Poland after four decades. Whereas Subhanshu Shukla represented ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation).
