Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a Silver Jubilee plan with special benefits for prepaid customers. The state-owned telecom service provider (TSP) announced this through its social media handle on Thursday while giving detailed information about the limited period prepaid recharge plan. Under this plan, customers will get the facility of 2.5GB per day mobile data, unlimited calls and SMS at a very low price. This offer is part of the company’s previously announced Silver Jubilee FTTH plan.
BSNL Silver Jubilee Plan
According to BSNL, the Silver Jubilee plan is priced at ₹225 and its validity is 30 days. During this period, customers will get 2.5GB 4G data per day, unlimited local and STD voice calls and 100 SMS per day. Under the Fair Usage Policy (FUP), the speed will be reduced to 40kbps after the daily quota is exhausted.
To avail this offer, existing customers can recharge through BSNL’s web portal or BSNL Self Care App. New customers can avail this at any retailer or BSNL Common Services Centre. These centers are centers where the telecom operator provides utility services like SIM card issuance, bill payment and mobile recharge.
BSNL has also recently announced the Silver Jubilee FTTH plan. Priced at ₹625 per month, it offers 2500GB high-speed data at 70Mbps speed along with entertainment benefits. Subscribers get access to over 600 live TV channels, including 127 premium channels. Additionally, it also includes subscriptions to JioHotstar and SonyLIV OTT platforms.
BSNL has launched several special offers in recent months to win back the customers it lost earlier this year. According to telecom subscription data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), TSPs reported a net loss of 0.2 million subscribers in April. BSNL also saw a decline of 1.8 million in the number of active subscribers during the same period.
