New Delhi, November 18 (IANS). Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi on Tuesday said the commissioning of the 1.5 lakh metric tonne capacity Hub Silo Complex at Malout in Punjab reinforces our commitment towards world-class, climate-resilient storage infrastructure.

Giving further details, he said that we also launched Anna Darpan of Food Corporation of India and Asha Portal of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, through which depot operations are being modernized and AI-driven, beneficiary-centric feedback is being enabled for the Public Distribution System (PDS).
He said at the event that digital platforms like Warehousing 360 will strengthen supply chain efficiency across the country and technology will bring transparency in service delivery. The platform is based on SAP S/4HANA and integrates 41 modules including lead execution, finance, marketing, warehouse management, contract management, project monitoring and other key functions.
Food Corporation of India’s microservices-based platform Anna Darpan connects key activities like procurement, storage, movement, sales, quality check, label management and contract monitoring under one integrated system. It serves as an authentic source for both FCI and DoPD.
At the same time, under Digital Transformation 2.0, Smart Exim Warehouse System has been started for Container Freight Stations (CFS/ICD) and general warehouses. The system uses AI, IoT, FASTag, OCR/ANPR, GNSS and other technologies to automate key processes.
The Department of Food and Public Distribution has also launched Anna Sahayata Holistic AI Solution (ASHA). This AI-based platform allows beneficiaries to share their feedback on ration distribution through automated calls in their preferred language.
