New Delhi, 7 December (IANS). Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday launched the country’s first city-based Delhi AI Grind. It aims to empower the youth of the city to develop AI-based solutions to real-world problems.
CM Rekha Gupta along with Indian Air Force Captain Shubhanshu Shukla said that Delhi AI Grind is India’s first city-based AI innovation engine.
He said that this biggest program of its kind will run for six months. It aims to bring together Delhi’s schools, communities and industry to develop solutions to real challenges. This move is a major effort towards promoting Delhi as an AI-based innovation hub.
The Chief Minister said that now technology is within the reach of the common citizen and doors of infinite possibilities have opened for the youth.
He said this will help the youth of Delhi to develop AI-based solutions to real-world problems. Classrooms will turn into innovation labs. Students will become change-makers and Delhi will move towards becoming the capital of knowledge and AI innovation.
Posting on the social media platform ‘X’, he wrote that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is today creating a new identity on the global stage in the fields of AI, technology and innovation. Inspired by this vision, the Delhi government has launched India’s first city-centric AI engine—Delhi AI Grind.
CM Rekha Gupta appealed to the students and said that your imagination will shape the tomorrow of Delhi. Constantly experiment, think boldly, learn from mistakes, and create new solutions.
“The presence of Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla at this inauguration ceremony held in Central Park was special and inspiring for all of us. As the first Indian to reach the International Space Station (ISS), he is a role model for our youth,” he wrote on Twitter.
The Chief Minister praised Education Minister Ashish Sood for conceiving the AI Engine-Delhi AI Grind program as the Central government seeks to take the national capital on the path to making it an AI and technology hub.
