New Delhi, January 19 (IANS). Leaders from around the world are gathering in Davos, Switzerland, where people from government, industry, social organizations and education sector will come together to discuss global problems. The objective of this meeting is to find solutions to the challenges facing the world and set priorities for the times to come.
According to the World Economic Forum (WEF), this meeting is considered very important in view of the need to take collective and strong steps.
According to WEF, the event, which runs from January 19 to 23, focuses on five major global challenges. To deal with these challenges, dialogue and cooperation between the government and the private sector is considered necessary, in which all concerned parties will participate.
While discussing these problems, special importance will be given to economic growth, strength and innovation. These three things will decide how world leaders deal with today’s complex situations and embrace the opportunities of the future.
Meanwhile, India is also ready to register a strong presence in this annual meeting to be held in Davos. Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of different states and more than 100 CEOs of big companies of the country are participating in this global conference from India’s side. India continues to be recognized as the world’s fastest growing major economy and political and business leaders will focus on attracting foreign investment.
Union ministers who will participate in the economic discussions in Davos include Railways and Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi and Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu is included.
Chief Ministers who reached Davos to attract investment in the states include Devendra Fadnavis of Maharashtra, N. Chandrababu Naidu, Telangana CM A. Revanth Reddy, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.
This year the World Economic Forum is starting with the theme ‘Spirit of Dialogue’. The event is taking place amid US tariff turmoil and growing global political uncertainties. Along with this, big giants related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) like Jensen Huang, Satya Nadella, Demis Hassabis and Dario Amodei will also participate in this conference.
