Delhi: Record online participation on YouTube in India AI Impact Summit 2026

New Delhi, February 17 (IANS). The online reach of the India AI Impact Summit 2026, being held at the Bharat Pavilion in Mumbai, has set a new record. Abhishek Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), told in the press briefing that the sessions of the summit are not only being held physically, but are also being telecast live on YouTube.

According to YouTube reports, 115 sessions went live in four days, with a maximum of 21 sessions running simultaneously. Total views have exceeded 4 lakh 57 thousand, while viewers watched more than 80 thousand hours. On an average, every hour 18 thousand people are continuously logging in and watching the session. People from all over the world are connecting online, strengthening the goal of democratizing AI.

Meetwai Secretary S. Krishnan gave detailed information on the schedule and arrangements for February 18 and 19. He told that on February 18, the expo area will be open from 9:30 am to 8 pm. Sessions at the convention center will end at 4:30 pm, with the last session at 5:30 pm. After this, the entire convention center area will be vacated, because there is a summit dinner at 6:30 pm, which will be attended by the Prime Minister and guest speakers. After 4:30 pm, visitors will be able to stay only in the expo area and will not be allowed to enter the convention center.

Due to the main inauguration of the summit on 19th February, the expo area will open from 11 am. Visitors coming first will get entry after 11 am. Entry for the general public in the convention center will be restricted due to security and the main event. Live broadcast will be available in the expo area, so that people sitting in the expo can also watch the sessions of big speakers.

Delhi Police Special CP Manish Kumar Aggarwal said that people going to the Expo area on February 18 will not be allowed to go to the Convention Center. Once you enter the expo, you will not be able to go to the convention center event. Traffic CP Dinesh Kumar Gupta gave information about the traffic plan. Vehicle movement will be free in Mandapam area, Afsar Ali Road and core zone. Vehicles coming from hotels have been advised to use alternative routes. There will be reverse movement in the evening dispersal, the main dispersal will be from Dharmamarg.

Officials said both security and convenience are being balanced. An appeal was made to the media to convey these updates to the visitors, so that crowd management and traffic remains smooth. The summit has been well attended so far and the AI ​​discussion is being broadened both online and offline.
