New Delhi/Lucknow, July 1 (IANS). The country’s ambitious ‘Digital India’ campaign completed 11 years on Wednesday. On this occasion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and congratulated the countrymen. At the same time, Digital India and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology also described this achievement as a major milestone in the digital transformation of the country.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote on the social media platform “has been made more simple, secure and accessible.”
He further wrote that hearty gratitude to PM Modi for this creative scheme which is playing an important role in building a ‘developed India’ by providing a strong base to the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’.
At the same time, the official ‘X’ post of Digital India said that in the last 11 years, this campaign has not only provided seamless digital services to the citizens but has also reduced the digital distance between village and city. Digital India has given a new identity to good governance, innovation and inclusive growth and this campaign is building the India of the future by empowering every citizen.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in its ‘X’ post also called upon people to join the celebration of completion of 11 years of Digital India. The ministry said that this campaign has worked to connect citizens with digital services, reduce the distance between villages and cities and give a new direction to good governance and innovation.
Let us tell you that the Digital India campaign was started by the Government of India on July 1, 2015 with the aim of making the country a digitally empowered society and knowledge-based economy. Under this major campaign being run in coordination with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, digital access to government services has been made easy and effective by connecting many government departments and schemes on one platform.
