French President Macron will come on a three-day visit to India, will attend AI Impact Summit

New Delhi, February 10 (IANS). French President Emmanuel Macron will visit India on a three-day visit. According to the information given by the Ministry of External Affairs, Macron will stay in India from 17 to 19 February. President Macron is coming on an official visit to India on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this time, Macron will attend the India-AI Impact Summit 2026.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that during this visit, both the leaders will discuss strengthening mutual cooperation in many areas mentioned in the Horizon 2047 roadmap. In addition, the leaders will also discuss regional and global issues of mutual benefit, including cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.

Both the leaders will be present in Mumbai to inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation. This event will be celebrated in both the countries throughout the year till 2026. President Macron will participate in the AI ​​Impact Summit in New Delhi on 19 February.

The visit follows Prime Minister Modi’s visit to France and reflects the mutual trust and depth of the India-France strategic peace as well as the shared commitment of both countries to further deepen it.

India-AI Impact Summit will be organized from 16 to 20 February at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Representatives from countries around the world will participate in this summit. This is the first AI summit to be held in the Global South. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate this summit.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays an important role in India’s development journey, strengthening governance and improving public service delivery. It supports inclusive growth on a large scale and is in line with the vision of a developed India by 2047. India’s linguistic and cultural diversity gives it a unique position to advance AI systems with multiple languages ​​and multiple models to suit the needs of different people.

It will bring together leaders, policymakers, industry and experts from around the world to showcase and discuss the transformative potential of AI for governance, innovation and sustainable development.
