Although American tech company Apple has not confirmed anything yet, new leaks are giving information about the possible look, design and launch date of the iPhone Fold. iPhone Fold design and specifications
A tipster on Weibo posted that Apple’s first foldable iPhone may be a bit different from its previous designs. The biggest change could be in the rear camera module. Instead of matching the color of the phone’s body, the iPhone Fold may have a separate all-black camera strip. This strip is expected to have two horizontal cameras, a microphone, and a flash, giving the device a different look compared to existing iPhones.
Changes in button layout have also been suggested in the leaks. The volume buttons can be moved to the top edge, a design inspired by the iPad mini. Touch ID is also expected to return, which will probably be integrated into the power button.
It has also been claimed that Apple may add a dedicated camera control button to the phone, although its exact function is still not known. Color options for the phone may be limited initially.
Talking about the display, the device is said to have a 7.8-inch inner OLED screen without any visible creases. It will also have a 5.5-inch outer display for easy use when the phone is folded.
According to reports, the Dynamic Island is expected to be even smaller, allowing more usable screen space. The foldable iPhone is rumored to be powered by Apple’s upcoming A20 Pro chipset. The smartphone can be powered by a 5500 mAh battery.
Talking about cameras, leaks suggest that the iPhone Fold may have two 48MP rear cameras. On the front, Apple may include two 18MP selfie cameras, one for the outer display and the other for the inner screen, allowing the cameras to be used in both fold and unfold modes.

If the current leaks prove to be true, Apple could launch the iPhone Fold along with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max between September 3 and 9, 2026. Talking about the price, according to early estimates, the foldable iPhone will be at the top of Apple’s lineup, with a starting price of around ₹ 1,99,900 in India.
