New Delhi, February 20 (IANS). An important step was taken towards making the country’s energy sector digital and smart at the ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ held in the national capital. GNA Energy Private Limited launched its flagship product ‘Vidyut AI’ on the occasion, which provides power market data, demand forecasting and price analysis on a single platform through Artificial Intelligence.
During this, Machine Learning Engineer of GNA Energy Private Limited, Paru Aggarwal, while talking to news agency IANS, said that in this AI Summit, his company has launched its major product ‘Electricity AI’. This product includes all the market related information and intelligence collected by the company. He said that his company works at two levels. One, the over-the-counter platform, where trading takes place, and the second tier, where they provide the necessary intelligence to SLDCs, Power Purchase Committees, Discoms and CNI consumers.
He said that digitization of data has been a big challenge in the energy sector. Data flows in different formats like Excel, CSV and databases. The company has created a central data repository by integrating all these sources. An attempt has been made to flow this data systematically keeping in mind the Indian energy stack.
Paru Aggarwal further said that the company also works on demand forecasting. In this, day-ahead and intra-day forecasting of the next day as well as week-ahead, month-ahead and long term demand i.e. from one year to ten years is prepared. Deep learning and neural network models are used for this. Recently the company has also integrated encoder, decoder and transformer models into its system.
He further informed that the data obtained from the behavior and registries of various institutions for market intelligence and price forecasting was analyzed, from which the information obtained has been incorporated into ‘Vidyut AI’, so that the users can get the data, graphs, Excel reports or analysis as per their need in a single click.
Paru Aggarwal, speaking to IANS, further said that AI has been adopted in the industry for a long time, but this summit is giving an opportunity to people to understand its real possibilities. He said that people are now realizing how impactful the bills generated daily, data collected and even small processes can be. Through this summit, it is becoming clear how fast AI is being adopted in the country and abroad and what huge opportunities it can open up.
He further informed that the Ministry of Power provides guidance, opportunities, rules and a strong framework to all startups and organizations. He said that most of the startups and companies present at the summit are working under the guidance of the Ministry, thereby promoting innovation.
