Sundar Pichai wrote, shared the plans for the first Google AI Hub in Visakhapatnam with the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. It was great to talk to him about this historic development.

This AI Hub will bring together gigawatt-scale computing capacity, a new international subsea gateway and large-scale energy infrastructure. Through this, we will bring our industry-leading technology to enterprises and users in India, accelerating AI innovation and growth across the country. This will be Google’s first AI hub and Indian AI engineers will also get an opportunity in it. On the other hand, while giving information about the MoU with Google, Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that today Google has announced an investment of 15 billion dollars. It has been announced to build a data center and AI hub in Visakhapatnam.

He said, due to the vision of the Prime Minister, the world’s biggest companies are setting up their infrastructure in India. This will promote AI infra which will become a huge strength for our startups, research and youth. In order to maintain the great identity that India has created in the world in IT in this era of AI, it is very important that the digital infrastructure of AI comes to India. This is a huge step for our youth and IT sector.
