Great increase of 37 percent in June sales of Mahindra & Mahindra, more than 1.06 lakh vehicles sold

New Delhi, July 1 (IANS). The country’s leading automobile company Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) said on Wednesday that its total auto sales in June 2026 stood at 1,06,207 vehicles, which is 37 percent more than the same period last year. This figure includes domestic sales as well as exports.

According to the company, utility vehicle (SUV) sales in the domestic market in June stood at 60,393 units, which shows an increase of 28 percent on an annual basis. At the same time, total utility vehicle sales including exports were recorded at 61,504 units.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s automotive division CEO Nalinikant Gollaguna said in June the company sold 60,393 units of SUVs and 26,076 units of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) of less than 3.5 tonne capacity, registering a strong year-on-year growth of 28 per cent and 35 per cent respectively.

The company said that a total of 5,918 vehicles were exported in June, which shows an impressive growth of 125 percent compared to last year. At the same time, total light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales stood at 39,896 units.

The company’s performance was strong in the LCV segment also. Sales of LCVs with capacity less than 2 tonnes stood at 3,508 units, a growth of 36 per cent. At the same time, sales of LCVs with capacity from 2 ton to 3.5 ton stood at 22,568 units, which is 35 percent more than last year.

The company’s three-wheeler business also witnessed a tremendous growth. In June 2026, 13,820 units were sold in this category, whereas in the same month last year this figure was 8,454 units. In this way, an increase of 63 percent was recorded in three-wheeler sales.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) also delivered a strong performance. In June 2026, the company sold 58,177 tractors in the domestic market, which is 12 percent more than last year.

The company’s total tractor sales stood at 59,935 units in June 2026, compared to 53,392 units in the same period last year. At the same time, 1,758 tractors were exported in the month of June.

Vijay Nakra, President, Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, said that it is too early to assess the full impact of the possible El Nino situation. However, government measures such as continuation of fertilizer subsidies and locally targeted support to farmers will mitigate the risks to a great extent and the impact on the Kharif season is expected to be limited.
