GTA 6 Leak Update: Preparations for a big launch in November, complete details of release date and gameplay revealed

After months of rumors and high expectations, Rockstar Games has finally announced the release date of its biggest title to date: *Grand Theft Auto VI* (GTA 6). The game is now scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Although it was initially planned to be released in early 2026, fans will now have to wait a little longer.

Why was there a delay?

The company had already indicated that the game would take more time to complete. In November 2025, it was clarified that the delay was not due to any production issues, but due to the need to further refine and improve the game. The developers say they want to ensure that this title launches with the quality that players have come to expect. An interesting point is that the launch of GTA 6 is scheduled for Thursday – November 19 – while main game titles usually release on Tuesdays. It is not yet clear whether this decision is a strategy or not.

New settings and a great story

This time, the game world promises to be bigger and more dynamic than ever before. The story will take place in a fictional place named Leonida, which is loosely inspired by the real-life state of Florida. Its centerpiece will be Vice City, which is now being rebuilt in a modern style – a far cry from its classic 1980s look.

The biggest change is the introduction of the dual-protagonist system. For the first time in the series, players will be able to experience the story from the perspective of both a male and a female character at the same time. Hopefully this will bring a new lease of life to both the gameplay and story.

Performance and platform information

From a technical perspective, reports suggest that the game will run at 30 frames per second (fps) on base PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series No information has been provided yet about the special features or improvements planned for PlayStation 5 Pro. At the same time, PC users may have to wait a little longer. Although there is no official release date for the PC version yet, it is being speculated that it may arrive sometime in 2027.

What to expect ahead of launch?

As the launch of GTA 6 gets closer, fans can expect a big marketing campaign. Take-Two Interactive is expected to reveal a number of big things between May and August – including new trailers, gameplay videos, and story details. During this time, fans will get a more in-depth look at the game’s characters, maps, and features.
