Tech company HP has launched its new OmniPad 12 in India, a device that works as both a tablet and a laptop. This device is specially designed for students, professionals and first-time PC users. It has a detachable keyboard, allowing users to easily switch between tablet and laptop modes. This device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and works on Android operating system. The company claims that this tablet gives up to 18 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Price and availability in India

HP OmniPad 12 price in India starts at ₹48,999. This tablet will be available for purchase from June and can be purchased from HP’s official website, Amazon, Reliance Stores and HP World Stores. The company has launched it in only one color variant: Denim Blue. With this launch HP has entered a new segment of tablets. The company is focusing on those users who want a combined experience of both tablet and laptop in a single device. Considering its price, this device has been placed in the mid-premium category.

This tablet has a 12-inch 2K display with a resolution of 1200×2000 pixels. Its aspect ratio is 16:10 and refresh rate is 90Hz, which gives a smooth visual experience. The display offers up to 400 nits of brightness, which ensures that the screen is clearly visible even in outdoor light. In terms of performance, the device is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon SM6475Q processor, which has 6 cores and delivers speeds of up to 2.40GHz. It has Adreno GPU, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB UFS storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card.

Camera and Connectivity System
The HP OmniPad 12 sports a 13-megapixel camera on the back, while there’s an 8-megapixel camera on the front, which is perfect for video calls and selfies. It also comes with a detachable Mica Silver soft-cover keyboard that connects to the tablet via a POGO pin. For connectivity, this device has Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also has four speakers and two microphones with DTS:X Ultra support, which improves the audio quality.

The weight of this tablet is 600 grams, which increases to 650 grams when the keyboard is installed.
