New Delhi, February 2 (IANS). India AI Impact Summit is scheduled to be held on February 16-20, 2026 in New Delhi. It is expected to be the largest of the four global AI summits held so far, reflecting the growing international trend around responsible, inclusive and impact-driven artificial intelligence.
The summit has attracted unprecedented interest from the global community, with over 35,000 registrations received ahead of the event. This summit will prioritize translating vision into implementation, with a clear focus on results that matter on the ground.
Governments, industry leaders, researchers, civil society organizations and international institutions will participate in the conference and actively contribute to shaping its agenda. It is expected to be attended by representatives from over 100 countries, including 15 to 20 heads of state, over 50 ministers from various countries and over 40 CEOs of leading global and Indian companies.
Nearly 500 key individuals from the global AI ecosystem, including innovators, researchers and chief technology officers, will also participate.
Highlighting the depth and diversity of engagement, the summit will feature a Startup Showcase of over 500 AI startups and host nearly 500 sessions alongside the main event, making it one of the most comprehensive AI-focused global conferences.
Equally significant has been the scope of people’s participation ahead of the summit. Over 1,300 proposals have been received for events to be organized ahead of the summit and over 500 events have been organized so far in various sectors and regions in India as well as globally.
The summit framework also includes seven key events, which have collectively been attended by over 3,00,000 participants, reflecting the widespread interest nationally and internationally in the AI Impact Summit process.
The process for the Global AI Summit has evolved over time, starting with an initial focus on AI risks at Bletchley Park, then discussions on ethics and inclusion in Seoul, and later leading to the implementation of shared principles in Paris. This summit reflects India’s growing role in global AI discussions.
