New Delhi, February 19 (IANS). Accenture CEO Julie Sweet on Thursday said the ‘AI Impact Summit 2026’ held in India has successfully highlighted to the world the importance of inclusive AI along with inclusive growth.
While talking to the media during the summit, he said that this summit is a big recognition of how important it is for countries, private sector and public sector to work together. He said that it also shows the importance of India.
At the ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’, the government announced ‘New Delhi Frontier AI Impact Commitments’, which is an important outcome of the summit. Under this, the aim is to advance inclusive and responsible AI by bringing together leading AI companies and innovators of India.
Julie Sweet said, “A key theme of the summit has been inclusive growth and inclusive AI. The participation of so many people from around the world shows how important India’s role is.”
In this summit, the presence of global leaders and CEOs of big tech companies was at the center of the inaugural ceremony held at the Bharat Mandapam. On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this AI Summit.
The inaugural ceremony focused on steering the future of Artificial Intelligence through responsible innovation, scientific progress, and international collaboration.
According to an official statement, the participation of global political leaders, multilateral institutions and technical experts in the inaugural session of the summit has established it as a platform that will play an important role in shaping the future of AI in a rapidly changing and interconnected world.
Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran described AI as the next basic infrastructure, with transformative potential comparable to historical technologies like the steam engine, electricity and the Internet.
He highlighted the achievements of India’s digital public infrastructure and described AI as a strategic national capability, which is being developed across the entire technological infrastructure from chips and systems to energy and applications.
