New Delhi, 6 October (IANS). Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Monday that Asia’s largest technology event India Mobile Congress (IMC) will begin on 2025, October 8 and will have global telecom leaders, innovators, startups and policy makers under one roof.
He further stated that this four-day mega event will focus on the future of 6G technology, AI network, satellite communication and digital infrastructure of the next generation.
Reviewing the preparations for the event, Scindia said that the IMC 2025 will prove India’s leadership in the Global Telecom sector.
The Union Minister wrote on the social media platform X, “The four-day mega event will unite global telecom leaders, innovators, startups and policy makers under one roof and will shape the roadmap for 6G, AI-design, satellite communication and the next generation digital infrastructure, which will shape India’s leadership in the Global Telecom.
Highlighting the program focused on startups this year, Scindia announced the introduction of the ‘IMC Aspire Program’, which will connect entrepreneurs to investors and financial institutions.
He said, “For the first time, the program will include around 500 startups and 300 vests, private equity promoters and investment bankers. IMC 2025 will serve a bridge between startups and venture financeing.”
Scindia said that India is playing a leading role in the 6G technology global race.
He said that standard and protocols for 6G are already being developed and India 6G Alliance, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022, is playing a major role in this progress.
This will be an important part of the discussions of Alliance IMC 2025. The ‘International AI Summit’ will also be organized in this program, where experts will discuss new advancement and applications in AI.
Scindia said, “We are organizing an Artificial Intelligence Summit as a part of IMC.”
Another major attraction will be the ‘SATCOM Summit’, which will focus on satellite communication services.
Scindia said that three licenses have already been provided for SATCOM services and this subject will be discussed intense during this event.
In addition, a ‘Cyber Security Summit’ will also be organized on data security and safety of users.
Scindia said, “The more important it is to provide telecom services, it is equally important to ensure the safety and welfare of our 1.2 billion customers.”
