New Delhi, March 1 (IANS). Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia will lead India’s participation in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 to be held from March 2 to 5 in Barcelona, Spain. MWC is one of the world’s largest and most influential technology and telecommunications conferences. This information was given by the Ministry of Communications on Sunday.
The Communications Minister will also inaugurate the India Pavilion at MWC 2026 during his visit. The pavilion will provide a global platform to showcase India’s growing telecom manufacturing capabilities and innovation ecosystem.
According to the ministry, Scindia will address the GSMA ministerial event during the main forum session ‘Building for the Future’. At this event, global leaders will discuss future-ready digital infrastructure and emerging technology frameworks.
Scindia will deliver the keynote address at the session on ‘Breaking the Cost Barrier’ at the GSMA Ministerial Forum. This session will focus on affordable, inclusive and scalable digital connectivity models for the world.
The ministry said Scindia will hold discussions with global CEOs at the CEO dinner hosted by India, highlighting India’s commitment to innovation and trusted partnerships. He will also visit the booths and technology demonstrations of leading global and Indian companies.
Additionally, Scindia will also visit Tejas Networks’ booth to inaugurate the T31600-D3 Hyper Scalable DCI platform. This will be an important milestone in India’s advanced telecom product development.
The ministry said that the participation of the Communications Minister in MWC 2026 underlines India’s growing status as a global leader in the digital and mobile ecosystem. His visit aims to strengthen international partnerships, attract investments and strengthen India’s role in shaping secure, inclusive and future-ready digital networks around the world through strategic dialogue with governments, industry leaders and technology innovators.
