Indigenous mapping app Mappls will retire Google Maps, Ashwini Vaishnav explained its features and appealed to use it.

Following the post, shares of CE Info System, a private Indian company, rose 10.7%. Minister Ashwini Vaishnav posted a video on X. In this post he wrote, “MapMyIndia’s local maples, good features… must try!” In the video, he says that he has met with the Maples team and that this map has many special features. Praising the maples, Ashwini Vaishnav said that when there are overbridges and underpasses, a three-dimensional junction view is visible. Even if a building has multiple floors, this map tells which shop to go to. People should also try it.

Ashwini Vaishnav also informed that an MoU will soon be signed between Railways and Maples so that all the best features of this service can be availed. It is noteworthy that MapMyIndia is an Indian company, whose parent company is CE Info Systems. In the video, Ashwini Vaishnav is seen using MapMyIndia. Will MapMyIndia be integrated into Swadeshi Arattai?

Many people are posting on X that MapMyIndia should be integrated into homegrown WhatsApp rival Aarttai. In a post, Rohan Verma, director of MapMyIndia, wrote that he would also like to see it integrated into Arattai. He said any app developer can integrate it using the Maples API and SDK. He also shared a link detailing the integration process.

How does MapmyIndia’s MAPLES work?

CE Info Systems is the parent company of Maples and MapMyIndia. This company develops location-based IoT products and platforms. According to the company, Maples has been specially designed for India. It lets you search for places and addresses at a local level, such as down to a street, neighborhood or village. It also has a feature called Maples Pin, which lets you easily share someone’s exact address. It is inspired by Google Maps Pins.
