Infosys’ profit increased by 13 percent to Rs 7,364 crore in the second quarter.

Mumbai, October 16 (IANS). The net profit of the country’s leading IT company Infosys has increased by 13 percent year-on-year to Rs 7,364 crore in the second quarter of FY 26. This information was given by the company on Thursday.

The company had registered a profit of Rs 6,506 crore in the second quarter last year. There has been a 5 percent increase in the company’s profit on a quarterly basis and it was Rs 6,921 crore in the April-June quarter.

Infosys’ income from operations increased by Rs 3,504 year-on-year to Rs 44,490 crore in the September quarter, from Rs 40,986 crore in the same period last year.

The Bengaluru-headquartered company had declared an interim dividend of Rs 23 per share for its investors and the record date for the same will be October 27.

“The board, in its meeting held on October 15-16, approved an interim dividend of Rs 23 per equity share with record date fixed as October 27, 2025 and payment date as November 7, 2025,” the company said in an exchange filing.

The company said that during the quarter, Infosys Singapore Pte Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Infosys Ltd, entered into an agreement to acquire 75 per cent of the equity share capital of Telstra Purple Pte Ltd, including certain of its subsidiaries. The company is Australia’s leading digital transformation solutions provider.

Salil Parekh, MD and CEO of the company, said, “We have delivered two consecutive quarters of strong growth, reflecting our strong market position. With 67 per cent net new deals in the second quarter, the strong deals we have won reflect our deep understanding of customer preferences for delivering value from AI in this environment.”
