iPhone 18 Pro Max Leaks: After Cosmic Orange, now the new iPhone will come in Deep Red color, know the design and features

New information has emerged about Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, and this time the discussion is not about its features, but about its color. According to reports, the company is working on a new ‘Deep Red’ color. If this happens, then this could be the return of red color to iPhone Pro models after years.

Why ‘Deep Red’ color?

According to a recent newsletter report by Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Apple is testing a deep red color for the iPhone 18 Pro. It has been reported that this model will have a completely aluminum body like last year’s iPhone 17 Pro. If this color is finalized, it could be the first time since 2022 that a Pro iPhone will have a red shade.

Will ‘Cosmic Orange’ last?

The report also says that the new Deep Red color will not completely replace last year’s popular ‘Cosmic Orange’. Orange has been especially popular in China, so it is possible that the company may introduce both colors together.

Limited color options for iPhone Fold
While there is talk of a new color for the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone Fold to be launched this year may have limited color options. Reports suggest that the foldable iPhone may come in classic colors like dark grey, black and white or silver. Previous rumors had revealed that the iPhone Fold will initially be available only in black and white colors.

Aluminum body and ‘scratchgate’
Last year, Apple adopted an all-aluminum chassis for the iPhone 17 Pro, which gave the company the opportunity to experiment with new and bold colors. However, this also posed a problem. The development was dubbed ‘Scratchgate’ on social media after users complained that the phone was prone to scratches.

Is there a reason there wasn’t a black model?

Some people believe that Apple did not launch the black version of iPhone 17 Pro because of the scratch problem. Scratches are more visible on dark colors, which disappointed many old black iPhone users.

Overall, if the Deep Red color does indeed become a part of the iPhone 18 Pro, it could bring a major visual change to Apple’s Pro lineup. It remains to be seen when the company confirms these rumors officially.
