New Delhi, October 8 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said the made-in-India 4G stack is a testament to India’s leadership in the tech world and is now ready for export.
Speaking at the inaugural session of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, Prime Minister Modi said this development reflects the strength of the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat vision’ and the progress India has made in the telecom sector in the last decade.
Prime Minister Modi said that 5G connectivity has now reached almost every district in the country, which is a huge achievement compared to the days when India was struggling for 2G networks.
According to Prime Minister Modi, India has attracted the world’s attention with the achievement of installing one lakh towers, which shows that the country is capable of building telecom infrastructure on a large scale.
PM Modi said, “The new 4G network is expected to provide faster internet speeds, more reliable services and seamless connectivity, which will further strengthen India’s technological edge.”
Apart from this, while speaking about the progress made in the country’s electronics and mobile manufacturing, the Prime Minister said that after 2014, production has increased six times, while mobile manufacturing has increased 28 times and exports have increased 127 times.
The Prime Minister described the role of startups and innovation as important in this achievement.
Prime Minister Modi said, “India Mobile Congress has now become Asia’s largest digital technology forum, showcasing the country’s talent and innovation on the global stage.”
The Prime Minister also attributed this success to the tax-saving mentality of Indians and the energy of the Indian youth, which has given the country a leading position in global telecommunications and digital technology.
