After smartwatches and smart rings, a new wearable gadget named ‘Temple’ is all set to hit the market. Zomato co-founder Deepinder Goyal himself was the first to mention this device and claimed that it gives real-time information about the metabolic activity of the body.
Goyal has now given a new timeline and said that the temple will be launched within a year. The company has introduced it as a health-focused device designed to be worn on the forehead. More information is expected to be revealed soon. This device is being made especially for athletes; It will store and process real-time data to provide suggestions to improve performance. In a conversation with Bloomberg, Goyal made it clear that he is not building the temple for the common man, but for himself.
**When will the temple launch?**
When asked about the launch timeline, Goyal indicated that it could be launched in 6 to 12 months, although he admitted that the project is currently behind schedule.
**Price ₹1 Lakh**
According to reports, the price of the temple could be $1,000 – i.e. approximately ₹1 lakh in Indian currency. However, the final price will be confirmed only after the launch.
**Size of kidney beans**
Goyal has previously been seen wearing the device in a video. The temple is about the size of a kidney bean and is designed to stick to the skin. According to Goyal, the main purpose of this device is to monitor the metabolic rate of the body. He explained that while typical fitness bands and devices typically track heart rate to estimate metabolic rate, his device focuses on the real metric.
