No camera, no studio! Indian YouTube channel created history by making videos with AI, the world was surprised to see its earnings.

An Indian YouTube channel has earned more than ₹38 crore in a year just from AI-generated content. A global study of YouTube channels using AI-generated content revealed that the Indian channel ‘Bandar Apna Dost’ was the most watched channel worldwide. Video editing platform CapCut conducted this study, which analyzed the 15,000 most popular YouTube channels from around the world to understand the scale and impact of AI-generated videos, and ‘Bandar Apna Dost’ emerged as the top channel.

Indian channels are at the forefront
According to a study by CapCut, this channel has received 2.07 billion views and has more than 2.76 million subscribers. In terms of earnings, this channel is earning around ₹38 crore annually. This channel uploads short video clips featuring monkey characters. The success of the channel shows how low-cost, completely AI-generated videos can reach global audiences.

AI also dominates in video recommendations

When it comes to recommendations, YouTube heavily promotes AI generated videos. According to the study, 20 percent of the videos recommended to new users are made with AI. AI-generated videos are videos that are created entirely by AI, with little or no human creativity. The dominance of AI video is even greater in the shorts format. Of the first 500 shorts shown to a new user, 33 percent are AI-generated videos. This shows that YouTube’s algorithm is favoring content that keeps viewers engaged, even if the quality is not great.
