Chinese smartphone maker Oppo on Monday launched two new smartphones – Oppo Reno 16 Pro and Oppo Reno 16 – in its domestic market. Apart from this, the company also introduced Oppo Pad 6. Oppo has introduced Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16, which have powerful cameras, large batteries and new MediaTek processors. One special thing is that Reno 16 Pro has a 200-megapixel camera and a large 7,000mAh battery. Both smartphones run on ColorOS 16 (based on Android 16) and have a 50MP selfie camera. Sales of the new Reno series will start in China from May 29.
**Price Information**
The starting price of Oppo Reno 16 is 3,499 Chinese Yuan – which is equivalent to approximately ₹49,000. This price is for the variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Whereas, the top-tier model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is priced at around ₹69,000. On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 16 Pro has a starting price of CNY 4,499 – which is roughly equivalent to ₹63,000. Its high-end variant costs around ₹74,000. The company has launched Reno 16 in three color options: Galaxy Purple, Heartbeat and Moonlight Dark. In contrast, the Reno 16 Pro will be available in Dream White, Heartbeat and Moonlight Dark shades.
Oppo Reno 16 Pro features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate and 1,800 nits peak brightness. At the same time, Reno 16 has a 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED display. Both phones offer a touch sampling rate of 240Hz and excellent color reproduction capabilities. For performance, the Reno 16 Pro has a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor, while the Reno 16 has a Dimensity 8550 Super chipset. Both smartphones support up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage. The company claims that both the phones come with IP69K rating.
**Camera and Battery**
Triple rear camera setup has been given in both Oppo Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16. It includes a 200MP primary camera with OIS support. Additionally, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera – which supports 3.5x optical zoom – are also included. For selfies and video calls, both phones have a 50MP front camera. The phone supports 4K video recording at 60fps. Talking about the battery, Reno 16 Pro has a 7000mAh battery, while Reno 16 has a 6700mAh battery. Both phones support 80W fast charging; However, the wireless charging feature is only available in the Pro model.
**Oppo Pad 6 also launched**
Oppo Pad 6 was also launched in China on Monday. This tablet is the successor to the Oppo Pad 5 and features a larger 12.1-inch LCD screen with 3000 × 2120 pixels resolution. The display has an adaptive refresh rate of 144Hz, which ensures a very smooth experience for scrolling and gaming. For performance, Oppo Pad 6 has MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor. This tablet supports up to 16GB of RAM. This device runs on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. For photography, it has an 8-megapixel rear camera. For power, the tablet has a large 10,420mAh battery, which is claimed to last for a long time.
