New Delhi, October 31 (IANS). Union New and Renewable Energy Minister Prahlad Joshi on Friday described the North East as Energy-Lakshmi under the visionary leadership of PM Modi.
Giving information in a post on social media platform X, Union Minister Joshi said that he attended the Regional Workshop on Renewable Energy in Guwahati and delivered his speech in the program.
In his address at the event, Union Minister Joshi said that India’s commitment towards clean energy reflects the country’s vision for a sustainable and self-reliant future.
“The North-East, rich in natural resources, has the potential to transform its resources into an engine of inclusive and robust growth,” he said.
Union Minister Joshi wrote in the post, “Today, I spoke at the Regional Workshop on Renewable Energy in Guwahati. I praised the progress of the North East states for their excellent renewable capacity share. Also, reviewed the progress of flagship schemes. Also, discussed the steps required to harness the region’s immense potential in solar, small hydro, green hydrogen and biomass.”
He further added, “Together, we are moving towards a clean, green and energy-secure North East, realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of prosperity through sustainability.”
Apart from this, he paid tribute to the architect of India’s unity and integrity Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 150th birth anniversary in Guwahati and said that his vision will continue to inspire many generations to strengthen the spirit of unity.
Earlier, while attending an event about a week ago, Union Minister Joshi had said regarding the North-East that the North-Eastern states, which were ignored for decades, have seen a significant change under the leadership of PM Modi.
“With PM Modi’s regular visits to the North Eastern states, dedicated initiatives and focused governance, the North Eastern region is driving unprecedented development,” he said in a post on his X handle.
