New Delhi, April 6 (IANS). Digital payments platform PhonePe on Monday announced a special offer for a limited period on its new credit card launched in collaboration with State Bank of India.
The PhonePe SBI Card is available with zero joining fee for the first year, allowing customers to avail its benefits without any upfront cost.
“Users can enjoy the premium benefits of the card for free for the first year,” the fintech platform said.
The card is available on both RuPay and Visa platforms and is specially designed for active consumers who frequently transact online.
A key feature of this card is its universal rewards structure, which offers 5 percent rewards on all online purchases regardless of the brand or merchant.
This card is a strong choice for users who want to get maximum benefits on their daily digital spending.
Additionally, customers can earn 10 percent rewards on select categories within the PhonePe ecosystem, including mobile recharges, electricity bill payments and other regular transactions.
The card also offers similar benefits on insurance premium payments made through the platform, helping users save on essential expenses.
For offline use, especially through UPI, the RuPay version of the card offers 1 per cent rewards on scan-and-pay transactions, making even small amount payments more attractive.
The card also includes travel perks, such as free access to domestic airport lounges up to four times a year with no spending limits.
Users are also provided with a two-year Priority Pass membership, allowing them access to international airport lounges.
Reward points earned through the card can be redeemed directly towards credit card bill payment, with each point worth Rs 1.
This allows users to adjust their monthly bills, further increasing the overall benefits of the card.
The application process for PhonePe cards is completely digital and can be completed through the PhonePe app, giving users a seamless onboarding experience.
