Sriharikota, December 24 (IANS). The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Wednesday achieved a historic feat by launching the heaviest payload (6,100 kg) in the history of the LVM3 rocket. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called it a proud moment.

Describing the achievement as a huge leap, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on social media platform

He wrote, “This strengthens India’s heavy-lift launch capability and further cements our growing role in the global commercial launch market. It also reflects our efforts towards a self-reliant India. Congratulations to our hardworking space scientists and engineers. India continues to scale heights in the world of space.”

Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh congratulated ISRO by posting on ‘X’. He wrote, “Congratulations to Team ISRO for the successful launch of LVM3-M6 carrying Bluebird Block-2. Under the visionary tutelage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ISRO continues to achieve one success after another, which again proves India’s growing strength in space technology.”

BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari wrote, “India’s space power has achieved a new height. India has successfully launched its heaviest ever satellite, Blue Bird-6, in which the Blue Bird Block-2 satellite was separated with precision and placed in the orbit. The mission was accomplished with perfect precision. Under the leadership of PM Modi, India’s space program has moved from ambition to execution, from capability to sustainability. What was just a dream during the Congress time, Now it has become a wonderful daily accomplishment.”
