Paris, June 18 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met CEOs and senior officials of several top companies and informed them about the rapidly growing manufacturing and innovation ecosystem in the country.

Further, Prime Minister Modi also met Alstom CEO Martin Tsien and the conversation focused on opportunities for mobility and modernization of railways.
According to Jaiswal, “Prime Minister Modi noted Alstom’s large investments and manufacturing presence in India, which are contributing to the creation of jobs and the growth of India’s rail sector. Sian also briefed on Alstom’s plans for further expansion and investment in India.”
The Prime Minister met Benoit Bazin, Chairman and CEO of Saint-Gobain and the conversation focused on opportunities in the materials and construction sectors, with a focus on sustainability.
“PM Modi noted Saint-Gobain’s strong presence and investments in India, which are creating opportunities for Indian youth. Chairman and CEO Bazin spoke about Saint-Gobain’s plans for further investment and expansion in India,” a MEA spokesperson said.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi said that “India-France partnership is very important for the progress of the planet”.
